Hablexo Open-source licences

Open-source licences

Last updated 10 August 2026. Hablexo is operated by Hablexo Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 17354416). Questions about anything on this page: hello@hablexo.com.

The Hablexo operator applications include open-source software written by other people. This page acknowledges it, names the licence each component is under, and — where the licence asks for it — tells you how to obtain the source and rebuild the component yourself.

Audio components we compile and ship

Written offer of source, and your right to relink

For any component above that is licensed under the LGPL, you may obtain the complete corresponding source code, and the scripts we use to build it, by writing to hello@hablexo.com. We will supply it for no more than the cost of distribution. The version we ship, and the exact build configuration, are stated above and in the build scripts we will send you.

Those components are included as separate dynamic libraries rather than being compiled into the application, so you can build your own modified version of the library and use it in place of ours. On Android this is the libmp3lame.so inside the application package; on iOS it is the lame.framework bundled with the app.

Everything else

The applications also build on a large amount of open-source software distributed under permissive licences (MIT, Apache 2.0, BSD and similar) — the React Native and Expo ecosystems, and their dependencies. Those licences do not require individual notice here, but we are happy to provide the full component list on request at the address above.
